Panganiban started her career at age 6 with her first show Ang TV on ABS-CBN. She appeared in numerous television dramas and appeared as a lead in the soap opera Mangarap Ka (2004) with Piolo Pascual at the age of 16. She appeared in the movie Santa Santita (2004) with Jericho Rosales, and starred in the 2005 drama series Vietnam Rose with Maricel Soriano.

During 2006 she appeared regularly in Your Song and also appeared in the now defunct television series Star Magic and in the film White Lady. In 2007 Panganiban appeared in her first mature roles in the film A Love Story, with Aga Muhlach and Maricel Soriano, and in Maging Sino Ka Man with Derek Ramsay. She also appeared in Ysabella as a guest character. She became a full fledged adult dramatic actress in the 2008 primetime drama series Iisa Pa Lamang.

Panganiban appeared in an episode of Your Song with Derek Ramsay in February 2009 and in mid-2009 she filmed her television series Rubi which was based on the 2004 Mexican telenovela Rubí and the pilot episode aired on February 2010; she also starred in the drama/romance movie I Love You, Goodbye with her real life boyfriend Derek Ramsay. This was rated the Second Best Picture in the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival and made her a box-office favorite after it won awards for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Story and Best Director. Angelica Panganiban was nominated for Best Festival Actress. The film also won in the Guillermo Mendoza Awards Best-Film Category, with Best Supporting Actress going to Kim Chiu, Best Actor to Gabby Concepcion and Best Supporting Actor to Derek Ramsay. In 2011 she will appear in the soap opera Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa with Gretchen Barretto.

Cosmo returned to the pristine shores of Boracay for a fun shoot with Sam Pinto. Get an exclusive peek behind the scenes through our gallery of 170 photos!

When we go to Boracay, we often only explore the main beach, walking from Station 1 to Station 3 and back. But, when Cosmo returned to the island recently, we wanted to explore a different cove of the island--we were shooting a rising star's first Cosmo cover, so the setting had to be special. We brought Sam Pinto to Nami Beach Resort, just off the main shore, and shot breathtaking photo after breathtaking photo of the effortlessly sexy and gorgeous up-and-comer.

Cosmo Editor-in-Chief Zo Aguila says, "Nami is perfect because it has its own private cove, and we were able to do a lot of shots without a lot of onlookers. The shots came out great because the facade is perfect and we have a fabulous team working with us."

We also flew in New York photographer Danilo Hess for this shoot, and he was utterly amused that it didn't feel like work at all. Danilo's job was a breeze since Sam was a total pro, having modeled since she was 10. "Her moves are as good as some of the models I've worked with in New York, so this turned out to be an easy day."

Her moves, poise, and vibrant 'tude made Cosmo chief Zo easily notice Sam, way back in her early days at the Pinoy Big Brother house, which turned out to be her gateway to a flourishing showbiz career.

"We've always been on the lookout for new faces and new talents. And ever since Sam joined PBB, we knew na she was gonna be a cover girl someday. So now we felt that she's right for the cover: it's the second month of summer, and we wanted someone who could showcase that vibe in her shot. We're excited to have her because she's gorgeous and a lot of our readers really love her," Zo shares.

Jennylyn Anne Pineda Mercado also known as Jennylyn Mercado is a Filipina actress and singer. She was the winner of the first season of StarStruck, a reality-based talent search show of GMA Network in the Philippines.

Mercado studied at Augustinian Abbey in Las Piñas from Prep to 4th year High School. On the April 3, 2004 episode of Startalk, a Philippines-based talk show, Jennylyn admitted that she suffers from a heart ailment which prohibits her from becoming too tired, overly excited, or angry.

Jennylyn started out as a recording artist, in 1999, with Alpha Records through the recommendation of her voice coach Susanna Pichay. She was with the singing group G4 of Nonoy Tan. Unfortunately, two of the co-members did not continue on so the group and the planned album was scrapped. But the group was able to record two songs. After G4, she went into modeling and landed an endorsing stint with Bambini cologne and a Ponds television advertisement. She also made it to the elite Circle of 10 modeling search along with fellow Starstruck member, Dion Ignacio winning the Ms. Photogenic title. Prior to joining Starstruck, she has appeared in soap operas Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay with Lorna Tolentino in , Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw and Nagmamahal, Manay Gina, where she appeared three times.

In 2003, Mercado joined the reality show Starstruck and together with Mark Herras were proclaimed the winners of the show. Each of them received one million pesos plus exclusive contracts from GMA Network. After winning Starstruck, she has appeared in several films including So Happy Together and the teen-flick Let the Love Begin. In television, she has appeared in the fantasy soap opera Encantadia, I Luv NY, Now and Forever, entitled Dangal and Super Twins.

Career

Luna started her showbiz career when she joined in the Little Miss Philippines contest of Eat Bulaga! in 1995. She then started acting at the age of 13 and becoming a member of ABS CBN's Star Circle Batch 11 before transferring to GMA Network. Her biggest break came when she got the role of Odessa in the second of Encantadia trilogy called Etheria. In 2006, she ranked 9 in the FHM-Philippines list of the sexiest women and was featured in the cover of the December 2006 issue of UNO Magazine.
